9 months of a precious life...

Well, today marks 9 months since Nathan was brought into this world. What a blessing he has been to us already, and we have only spent on week of his life with him so far. I long for the day we bring him home knowing he is ours forever! We pray it is soon, but soon can not come fast enough.

We are getting excited about our trip. I am so thankful we are able to make a second trip, even though it was not in 'our plans'. We had so hoped he would be home by this point, but God's plans are bigger. I am excited to be able to visit the orphanage again and love on all those sweet children for a second time!

My packing list is getting very long! We will be with him for a full week. My dad is going with us this time. I pray he will take to us well since he will be much older. I can't wait to see his big smile, hear him laugh, and spend every waking moment loving on our sweet boy.

Happy 9 months baby boy, we will hold you in our arms soon!
Mommy and Daddy love you more than we can ever explain...

God's Children...

It hurts my heart to know there are children all over the world who need a warm place to stay and food... and it can not always be provided. I wish I could take them all in. They are not just any children, they are God's children...

Because of the changes taking place in the adoption process in Guatemala, Eagles Nest needs our help to take care of the children that need a place to call "home" until they can be united with a forever family. They are having to turn away moma's who are trying to find a safe place for her child because they do not have the funds to care for them. If you feel like God is leading you to help or for more information, please click HERE or on the Eagle's Nest link to the side. (click on the 'adopt-a-child' link on the site).

Continue to pray that the new process will be put into place soon so these children can be referred to families soon...

clarification...

I do not even know where to begin... this week seems like a fog. I will not go into all the details because honestly I still do not understand all the details, but we did get some clarification.

Just know that we are not in PGN. There has been misinformation given to us in the past that was cleared up Tuesday. They are still working on the rectified birth certificate and hope to have it in the next few weeks. At that point we will go back into PGN, hopefully for the last time.

We are tired. We love our son and are going to do anything it takes to bring him home. We will be visiting him again soon... please pray for us.

God is in control.

Waiting...

Well, I was hoping to have heard something by now, but no update yet. I am sure it is out there somewhere...

While we continue to wait through this long journey, I try to stay busy and keep my mind occupied, but it does not always work. My mind always seems to drift back to Nathan.

This week I do not have to work, because I worked all my days last week, so today I enjoyed a good lunch with a precious friend of ours who has a daughter from Guatemala. She is Beautiful!!! I just love being around her. It makes my heart feel so good to see her and touch her and know that these children do come home and have a life outside of an orphanage. I can not wait for the day the two of them can play together and interact! They are going to have so much fun (Sophie will have to teach him how to swim at the lake this summer;) )- what a JOYOUS day that will be!
God has blessed us with so many people through this journey that otherwise we would not have met, and I am so thankful. I sit in awe when think about all He has done and all He is doing.

Health Update

Nathan is doing well. He obviously loves to eat! I keep waiting for the update that says his weight is the same as the last, but it has yet to come. He now weighs 22.7lbs and is 27.5" tall. I wish I could make him stop growing until we go and get him;)

I just love his prefect little smile. Pray we here good news soon...

Big Boy!

Look who is sitting up... They posted some random shots of the babies on the EN site and I spotted my boy right away in a group shot sitting all by himself!! I am so proud of him for this major accomplishment, but my heart hurts because I have missed yet another milestone with our son.
I just remind myself that he is being so well taken care of and loved on each day he is away from us. He is growing, healthy and happy! Thank you Lord!
