Well, our journey of adoption is beginning. Most of you, if not all, should have received a letter from Casey and I regarding our adoption from Guatemala. We have place our initial application with Lifeline adoption here in Birmingham. We have also recieved our notebook which contains all the paper work we will need to complete the process. The first step is to start the home study and complete our dossier. We are told the paper work will take about three months to complete.
We both are so excited to have come this far. We still do not know all that God has planned for our family. We are just trying to take a day at a time and focus on what God has for us now. We trust and know God is in control of our lives and His plan is far better than ours. We ask that you pray for us as we work daily on our paper work. Pray specifically for the finger prints and background check to come back without delay. Most importantly, pray for the child God has chosen for us. Pray that God will provide for his every need and also protection for him and his birth mother.
